Therapy of root canals with chronic inflamation
Root canals are re-filled after the necessary preparations and bacteria reduction are complete, including if possible the accessory canals. If the patient's teeth are symptom-free and the bone appears to be ossifying around the root, an OroTox test is performed after approximately 6 months. If no significant reduction in protein decay products has been obtained, the tooth must be surgically removed along with the surrounding bone.
