Protected metal removal
When beginning a dental treatment program, harmful materials and bacteria must be eliminated and the site of inflammation at the tooth or bone must be surgically removed.
We take stringent safety measures when removing metal from the oral cavity, including oral administration of activated charcoal before treatment and oxygen supply through a nasal cannula during treatment. Special filter pads fixed and held in place by the dental suction canula to prevent debris and abraded materials from being swallowed during the removal process.
After rinsing, the cavity is filled with Harvard zinc phosphate cement or another temporary material prepared during the same session. The material will be chosen based on tests of the patient's individual tolerance.
